Event Catering Associate and Delivery Driver Location Northbrook, IL :

Events by M is hiring. We are seeking a candidates who have excellent communication skills, strong time management skills, and a commitment to meeting corporate deadlines and receiving critical orders on time.

Position Title: Event Catering Associate and Delivery Driver Job Type : Full Time AND Part Time positions

Role Summary : This is a multi-faceted position responsible for catering and operational duties required in order to reach our goal of providing our Corporate Clients with an exceptional event and outstanding customer service. Specific duties will vary according to the events requirements as well as driving our company vehicles for pick up and deliveries.

Responsibilities :

• Helps prepare items for catering events, VIP events, etc. as assigned by Catering and Back of House Managers.
• Preparing, plating, garnishing and serving cooked items provided from our third party providers.
• Creative display of our catered items to ensure eye appeal to our clientele.
• Candidates should possess strong organizational skills, comfortability with servicing V.I.P. guests.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, physical mobility with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 35 lbs.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple events thru out the day.
• Marketing our clients and Events by M representing both in a professional manner
• Ability to work normally within business hours but also have availability occasionally to work weekends and after hours.
• Work effectively with vendors to solve any delays or critical issues that may occur.

Minimum Qualifications include:

• Must be 18+ years
• Must hold a valid drivers license with a clean driving record - THIS IS A MANDITORY REQUIREMENT to be considered for hire.
• Must be able to drive company vehicle, including vans
• Must speak fluent English
• Ability to follow policy and procedure
• Team player; willing to work with others
• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with constant professionalism.
• Punctuality a must.
• Food Service experience preferred
